Description
The handmade stew pot, unlike similar products, is made of kaolin (refractory material) that preserves the properties of food.
Recommended For daily cooking, it can be used with any heat source: direct fire, embers, wood ovens, electric, microwave, gas. Easy cleaning even in dishwashers.
Recommended for all types of legumes (fabadas, stews, beans, tripe, etc.), stews, Galician broth, etc. Apart from the oven, it can also be used in direct fire, as well as served in them for presentation on the table given its heat accumulation power.
It is very important to handle the stew with protective gloves as well as to protect the table since generally the loss of high temperature lasts for 45 minutes 1 hour.
The cookware products are primarily made from high-quality refractory clay also known as Pereruela mud. Their products are handmade and undergo a double firing process at temperatures around 1100°C (2012°F) to increase their resistance to thermal and mechanical shock.

Care and Maintenance
FIRST USE
Generally, and depending on the product, we recommend carrying out a treatment prior to the first use in heat exposure, called “Curing”, to close the pores. There are two types
-
- -Forced curing
-
- Add water halfway through the piece, add a little oil (4.6 tablespoons) and boil for 2 hours, simmer preferably in an oven of any kind, make sure that the water does not evaporate completely.
-Natural curing
Immerse completely in normal tap water for 24 hours, in a container that covers the water completely, including lids for pots, etc. Then remove, let dry and use when you decide, that same day or any other.
Care and maintenance
Store in a dry place, avoid bumps and rubbing to make sure not to deteriorate the glaze, whenever you place one pot on top of another, place some separation material. Cleaning preferably by hand although the dishwasher can be used.
